Marketing or promotional communications, when used, are subject to separate consent requirements and customer communication preferences. Consent to receive service-related communications, including service-related SMS messages, does not constitute consent to receive marketing or promotional SMS messages.
Protection of Customer Information
New Era Broadband takes reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect customer information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Access to customer information is limited to personnel who require the information to perform legitimate business functions.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but New Era Broadband takes reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain.
Disclosure of Customer Information
New Era Broadband does not sell or rent customer personal information.
Customer information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, a valid legal process, court order, governmental requirement, or to protect the rights, property, network, customers, or safety of New Era Broadband or others.
Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and SMS consent are subject to the additional protections described in the SMS Messaging Privacy section below.
SMS Messaging Privacy
New Era Broadband offers an optional SMS messaging program for existing customers who voluntarily choose to receive service-related informational text messages.
Customers enroll in the SMS program by logging into their secure New Era Broadband customer portal and affirmatively enabling the SMS messaging option. SMS messaging is disabled by default. Providing New Era Broadband with a mobile telephone number or becoming a New Era Broadband customer does not automatically enroll a customer in SMS messaging.
The New Era Broadband SMS program is used only for service-related informational communications concerning the customer’s existing New Era Broadband service. Messages may include:
- Internet service outage notifications
- Planned network maintenance notices
- Installation and service appointment reminders
- Network and service status updates
- Account-related notifications
- Other informational communications directly related to the customer’s existing New Era Broadband service
The New Era Broadband service-related SMS program does not include advertising, sales offers, promotions, discounts, product solicitations, upgrade offers, referral offers, or other marketing or promotional messages.
Consent to receive service-related SMS messages does not constitute consent to receive marketing or promotional SMS messages.
New Era Broadband does not sell, rent, share, or otherwise provide mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Mobile information collected for the New Era Broadband SMS program is used only in connection with New Era Broadband’s service-related messaging program and is never shared externally for advertising.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Customers may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to a New Era Broadband text message or by disabling SMS messaging through their secure customer portal.

Participation in the New Era Broadband SMS program is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing or receiving New Era Broadband service.

The New Era Broadband website may use cookies and similar technologies necessary for website functionality, security, performance, and administration.
Information collected through these technologies may include browser type, device information, IP address, pages visited, and other technical information associated with use of our website.
New Era Broadband may use this information to maintain website functionality, improve website performance, protect the website and our systems, and better understand how visitors use our website.
Customer Choices
Customers may contact New Era Broadband to request updates or corrections to their account information.
Customers participating in the New Era Broadband SMS program may withdraw their SMS consent at any time by replying STOP to a New Era Broadband text message or by disabling SMS messaging through their secure customer portal.
Withdrawing SMS consent does not affect the customer’s New Era Broadband Internet service or other services.
Children’s Privacy
New Era Broadband’s services are not directed toward children for the purpose of collecting personal information from them. New Era Broadband does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 through its website without appropriate authorization.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
New Era Broadband may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices, legal requirements, or privacy practices.
When material changes are made, the revised policy will be posted on the New Era Broadband website with an updated revision date.
